Eric was notified on the basement bathroom flooding as soon as it happened. He reassured me that it would be okay. Then there were issues on the cleanliness and he promised to take off a night. I understand that two of his pillows ended with stains which we apologized. Then he bought up about the toilet flooding and it left a sour taste in my mouth as he made it seem as he understood the first time. I felt there was miscommunications as we did the best to follow all the rules and left his place as clean as possible. I appreciate his refund of a little bit back but he really did not want to communicate about the issues afterwards. I hope that no one else will experience this as I read his reviews and they had nothing but positive things to say. Maybe this was an off day for both the owner and the stayer. I appreciate the stay and everyone deserves a second chance.

My group chose this property for the 4 bedrooms and the location which was close to the areas we needed to be at. The exterior was a bit rough - some tall grass and siding work in the back - but the inside was clean, tidy, and uncluttered. The owner responded promptly to questions. There was enough parking space for our 3 vehicles. The "chores" we were asked to do for check-out were minimal. The only negatives the members of our group found were the very creaky wooden floors and the proximity to a very busy road which created significant road noise in the bedrooms with walls/windows facing the front of the house. The noise was an issue for 1 person in one of the front facing rooms, but not for the person in the other. So, that is a subjective "negative". But, overall, it was a positive experince.

I had a very nice stay at Eric's place. The location is excellent in Johnson County, and is in a very safe area. The house and kitchen were clean and suited my needs perfectly. The refrigerator, oven, stove and sink all worked well. Having a purified water spout at the sink is a wonderful bonus! The bed I slept on was comfortable. There are a variety of different bed options to choose from throughout the various rooms in the house. Eric is quite friendly and was quick in communication and accommodating my needs. I appreciate that Eric has cultivated a space that minimized so many of the toxic chemicals and intense fragrances found in cleaning products today. (Practically all AirBnB listings saturate their properties with these chemicals, which can be highly allergic and even create a limbic system panic response for some.)

Eric’s place was exactly what we needed for a wedding we attended in KC. The space was clean, well kept and Eric was very responsive. The upstairs bathrooms do look older than the photos but everything worked fine. I would recommend Eric’s place!
