Originally from New Jersey, I fell in love with Vermont's mountain wilderness when I was about 12 years old. One of the main things I loved, right away and even as a child, is that there are no obnoxious billboards ruining and distracting the gorgeous country roadways. Years later, I bought a falling down camp (no wiring, no plumbing, etc.) and spent much time and money just getting the house into a livable condition. It's been another 15 years or so working out the details and chipping away at the outrageously overgrown flora and fauna to create open areas and some gardens. Whew! Here's a quizz about Vermonters...."What do you call a Vermonter with 3 jobs?" Answer: "Lazy". Like most folks here in the Green Mountains I do several things for "loot". I do some substitute teaching, provide respite for handicapped clients, and for years I was a professional over-the-road truck driver. In between those, I've finally been able to get my "guest house" up and running!
