This charming colonial home has everything you need to enjoy a gathering with those you love. The central location on a quiet street allows for the best of both worlds, tranquility and easy access to downtown. Dog friendly with a big backyard, swing set and tree house. The newly installed mini split systems along with conventional oil heat (NEST Thermostat) will keep you cozy and warm during the Winter months and cool during the Summer! This is a colonial house built in 1804 with some quirky features. The pros are a claw foot tub, beautiful exposed beams, multiple fireplaces, tons of character including colonial wall stencils. The cons are low ceilings in the dining room and upstairs bathroom plus a step up into the upstairs bathroom.

What a gem! This a wonderful historical house. We had an awesome mini vacation between Christmas and New Years. There were 5 adults 3 children and 2 dogs and we were all very comfortable. We would love to return in the future. Highly recommend

We had 7 adults and 2 kids and all of us had a great early Thanksgiving stay here. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen was easy to navigate and cook in. Two minor issues were dealt with promptly. Would happily stay again!

Came into town for a wedding and this was the perfect little place for our group of people to stay. It’s an old home and gives you that feeling with the decor. There are quite a few stairs which could be a bit much with young children or anyone older that may not be able to handle them. But we loved the quietness even being near downtown Keene. After a bit of trouble getting into the front door with our code, the hosts were quick to help remedy and get us inside for our check in with little trouble after that. If we ever have a big family event in Keene again we will definitely want to come back here!

Lovely historic house that has been updated really thoughtfully. We didn’t need to cook but it seemed well equipped. Good heat too. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Think all 10 of us would agree. Thank you.

School Street is just one block away from Main Street, the heart of downtown Keene. There are many restaurants, bars, breweries, parks, and shops. While you are in town you can do a self guided walking tour of the murals painted on some of the historic buildings, telling the history of the city. A short drive will bring you to many local lakes and mountains for outdoor adventures.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and all residential. So leave the car in the drive way and head out on foot to explore the city.

There is no street parking available, on School Street, however, the driveway can fit at least four cars. Parking meters are located downtown, we suggest that you use the "JustPark" app if you want to park downtown.
