Stunning views, spacious house, BUT let down by, (i) lack of cleanliness (e.g. rubbish left strewn around the outside areas, and in cupboards), (ii) poor maintenance (e.g. electrical issues that burnt out two of our phone chargers, which the owner has so far refused to pay for), (iii) poorly trained/managed staff (e.g. they spent time sat by the pool and on the sofas, as if they were fellow guests, and were mostly quite intrusive during our holiday), (iv) there's simply no guest kitchen as advertised (just a makeshift kitchen areas with absolutely no amenities whatsoever, certainly not the ones advertised) and we were refused access to the main kitchen, (v) we were served and charged for vile, inedible food (by far the worst we had during our two weeks in Sri Lanka), and (vi) the floors had only just been mopped when we arrived, despite it being late afternoon, and my 5-year-old daughter immediately slipped and smashed her head.

My stay at the villa hotel in Kandy, Sri Lanka, was an exceptional experience. The staff's hospitality and services were of the highest quality, and they consistently provided prompt and helpful assistance throughout our stay. A highlight was their willingness to extend our check-out time by a few hours to accommodate our children, showcasing their commitment to guest satisfaction. What sets this villa hotel apart is its commitment to guest comfort and convenience. The on-site spa was a delightful feature, allowing guests to unwind and relax without leaving the premises. The full kitchen service offered an array of delicious dishes at reasonable rates, giving us the opportunity to savor authentic Sri Lankan cuisine right at our accommodation. However, the most outstanding aspect of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking views it offers. The panoramic vistas are truly incredible, providing a stunning backdrop to our entire stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this villa hotel

מיקום מעולה, נוף מדהים, נקיון לא משהו, הזמנו את כל הוילה כדי לקבל פרטיות אבל נכנסה קבוצה אחרת שגם הזמינה ושהו בוילה עד שמצאו להם מקום אחר וכן הגיע קבלן לקחת מדידות ונכנס לחדרים שלנו. יכולנו להזמין את החדרים בחצי מחיר.

We had a wonderful stay and Don’s place. It’s an enormous house that’s run like a boutique hotel, but when you book the place, it’s all yours. The manager James was super friendly and went out do his way to make sure we all had everything we needed. The house is up in the hills, above the cloud line with a stunning view, enormous rooms and lots of playful monkeys in the jackfruit tree near the pool. The house is a bit of a distance from the town, so you really need a vehicle to get there or go down to town, but the environment makes it all worthwhile. They also serve food, and will give you a menu to choose from which saves the hassle of bringing it from elsewhere. Would definitely stay again. :)
