Overall the place was great. It was disappointing that the showers were unreliable - either extremely scalding hot or freezing cold. On contacting Stays, the response we got was somewhat defensive, that the owner had just been in the flat and insisted that there wasn’t a problem - we insisted on a contractor who explained that this is a constant major issue in this building and replaced parts in the shower temperature control. It was also disappointing to note that a previous review had commented on this issue. Once we could shower, all was good. The clarity of the check-in instructions could be improved - the keys are not in the cupboard opposite the service lift, they are in the cupboard next to the service lift. Otherwise this was an excellent stay, nice apartment, great views and well equipped with everything one could need for their visit to York.

Great York location for in town and day trips out to Yorkshire. Beautiful lodging and staff were helpful and quick to handle questions. Will certainly use again!

Great place to stay, apartment was beautiful and the view was lovely. Location was great and located not far from all the sites. Everything in the apartment was clean and Pristine! The beds were super comfy and the en-suite showers were steaming. Highly recommend this place, an apartment for anytime of the year and would definitely come back! Thank you for a super memorable stay well done all!!

An excellently placed and equipped flat from which to explore York. The parking that came with the accommodation made for a very easy transfer to and from the flat. Very comfortable beds and high specification throughout. The only negative was the slightly late check in time of 4pm, which is the latest we've had to check in travelling anywhere. Check out is 10am, so I feel this check in could be more accessible. We did have one or two issues upon arrival, but these were quickly ironed out and had no appreciable effect upon our visit. Overall, a spacious, well-equipped flat that we'd thoroughly recommend.
