I stay at airbnbs all over there world, so I can calibrate for location, quality, price, etc I booked this place due to what I saw on pictures and reviews there were particular elements that I was looking for including what appeared to be newish bathroom with shower. When checked in I was put in a unit that is also one that’s on airbnb and is old and cheaper. Considering I was coming off a 24 hrs of traveling I didn’t connect the dots until second day and then I was too busy to do anything about it. So what I’m reviewing here really is the other unit that the host has on Airbnb for less. It’s old, well worn and as other pointed out super loud not only the bar downstairs but also when the washer is run at the front desk water empties into the unit so it’s super loud, drains smell bad. All around just like others said, bad deal. Considering that the hotel with similar parameters (2 bedrooms) would have been only 400 more I would do that. Check with host to ensure you get what you book
The property location is 5minutes walking distance to Maxwell MRT. It's convenient and best to stay with family with kids. Also, the taxi driver had difficulty in locating the building , but maybe it was by chance that i choose the said driver, maybe for others would be easy. Also the bed is comfortable, need to provide more pillows, not only 2 pcs of pillows, each and every queen size bed. Shower water pressure was great. Receptionist was also helpful. I will stay again in the property in the future .
Perfect base to explore Chinatown and the rest of Singapore. Loved the proximity to several RMT stations and Hawker’s markets. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
The best thing about Chen Chen's place is that it's close proximity to tourist attractions like Chinatown, merlion, gardens by the bay, and Lau Pa Sat! The unit was spacious enough for my family. we had awesome time!

Our service apartment is a 5 storey protected heritage building located in The Central of the city. This Nyonya Baba building is full of Southeast Asian style. Each suite has bright windows with characteristic traditional shutter looking out to the lively bars and streets.
All suites come with a kitchen, you might want to explore the local market, grab the fresh and unique ingredients, preparing a romantic meal for your loved ones.
Few step away to Chinatown, Marine Bay, Merlion Parks, Garden by the bay and Sentosa Island. Downstairs is the most famous Pub Street in Singapore, with many bars, nightclubs and restaurants for you to choose.
//IMPORTANT: Potential Noise during business hour from nearby pub and bar are inevitable because we are located in the most famous night life’s street. We don’t recommended noise-sensitive traveller book with us. Sound-proof window already implemented for all units.
Potential Noise from nearby Pub and restaurant during business hour (dinner time) until 10:30pm. Noisy sensitive guest please take extra caution before place the booking.
While we had implement high performance soundproof window for all our suites, therefore we barely receive relative complaint (recently updated statistic data shows less than 8% complaint received between June 2022 to Feb 2023)
We don’t have parking facilities, you will need use public parking lots. While we could reimburse up to SGD 10/day parking fee.
