The house and staff are very charming. We were greeted by John and his son, James, who was tending the bar. We relaxed and had drinks with some other guests before sitting down to the nicest dinner we’ve had thus far in Ireland. We had the fresh local oysters, spicy cauliflower soup, goat cheese, Irish pork belly, Atlantic cod with prawns, and the brownie! Our children loved the walled garden and the nearby fairie forest and found some other children to play with. The toy box in the foyer was a nice touch. The restaurant itself is fancy with very nice food, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were also glad that the children could play in the more casual bar area - in sight of our table - when they were done eating. The town is nearby and a short walk to cute shops and pubs. Afterward we went over to Narin/Portnoo beach with beautiful white sand. You can walk across to the little island about a 1.5 Hr before and after low tide. The drive from Giant’s Causeway was stunning as well.
