No cats (allergies) We call this guest cottage Godzilla because during renovation in 2018, our contractor said it was ' a real monster'. The initial structure was built as an artist/pottery studio by a former using reclaimed materials. It perches on the side of a steep hill. We stripped it down to the studs and added an additional room, 2 lofts, a bathhouse....along with insulation, heating/cooling, flooring(!), and a bunch of other items that made this quirky little studio into a charming little home. Godzilla is on our family property, but tucked completely away from the main house and the other detached living space. A gravel path leads from the driveway under a trellis archway. Follow the signs for 'Godzilla'. It's about 10-15 yards from your parking space to the front door. It has fast wifi, A/C and ceiling fans (as well has heat for the chilly days), a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, 2 burner cook-top, toaster oven) with dishware and utensils. There's no oven. The sink is located in the bathhouse. (See photos) Dining table has benches. The living room has two comfy chairs, an ottoman and a TV. The bedroom has a raised platform bed with a double mattress. The sleeping loft has a king sized mattress. The bathhouse is about 2 steps from the front door. Again, it is completely private for your use. There is a step down into the bathhouse. It has a shower, composting toilet and sink. Hot water is fueled by propane tank. There are soaps and other toiletries for your convenience. We supply a bathrobe in case you forget your own. Since the sink is used for both bathroom and kitchen water-needs, we have a drying rack, sponges and dishsoap as well as handsoap. There is a laundry room just inside the front door of the main house. This is the only shared space. Please ask if you would like to use it. Parking is for one car in designated spot. Due to location, steps, size and design of home, this is best suited for one or two people only. It is not safe for children and is not ADA accessible.
