A beautiful, spacious 5 bedroom 4 bathroom house with room for all the family. A huge open plan kitchen diner, separate downstairs study and enclosed garden to the rear, this house has everything you need for a perfect get away. We have parking for 4 cars on the driveway and are ideally situated for visiting Loughborough, Leicester or Nottingham. This space is perfect for large families or groups of working professionals. A large airy hallway leads to a huge kitchen diner, downstairs there is also a lounge, separate study, downstairs bathroom with walk in shower and a utility room. Upstairs boasts 5 large bedrooms and a master bathroom. The sleeping arrangements are laid out as follows: No.1: Master bedroom with a king size bed, en-suite shower room. No.2: Double bed and en-suite shower room. No.3: 2 Single beds that can be converted into one Super King Size Bed No.4: Super King size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds No.5: Double Bed There is also a family bathroom and a full downstairs bathroom with a walk in shower. **Please note that this is a family home in a quiet location, therefore we are unable to accept parties of any kind at this property**

Lovely place to stay! Very handy for travelling to Donington circuit each day
The house was was lovely and large with great sized rooms, but could have been cleaner as lots of dust around - significantly in the main bathroom & we were disappointed about the amount of cigarette ends left in the garden. If bringing children, bring additional blackout blinds as the blinds in the rooms are not good quality. the listing also needs to be updated - there is no cot at the house other than a single travel cot, and they had to bring out a high chair on request as there wasnt one at the house (contrary to listing). Tom did try to resolve the high chair issue quickly which we were grateful for.
This was our very first airbnb, staying for 2 nights with a family of 7 adults and 3 little ones under 3. The location is good and there is plenty of uncluttered space everywhere. The heating works well. We were disappointed in minor things - a bedroom window that would not shut. a shower room with black mould on the hose, no hanging space in a bedroom, three window blinds not working properly, several light bulbs needing replacing; and we couldn't find a hairdryer. I don't know if this is an average standard for an airbnb, but no-one could say it was, as claimed, '5 star'. I would not tolerate these defects in my house.
large house, warm on arrival, comfortable and clean. would recommend.
This is a large house and all the pictures illustrate it, we stayed over Christmas and had everything we needed. Comfy beds and lots of bathrooms. The kitchen chairs are rather worn and the sofas are not very comfortable but overall a great place to stay.

Located in landlocked Leicestershire, Barrow-upon-Soar became famous in 1851 when a fossilised marine reptile was found here.
The ‘Barrow Kipper’ lived in the shallow seas that covered the area millions of years ago, and today it’s the peaceful waters of the River Soar that attract visitors.
Barrow Boating offers family fun on vessels including swan pedaloes and hydrobikes, and you can even take your tent along and camp on the site’s own island. Alternatively, ‘Paddle to the Pub’ with outdoor adventure company Let’s Get Lost, which gives you the chance to glide past beautiful scenery before stopping at a riverside pub such as The Navigation Inn.
More great food, drinks and river views are included at The Moorings, which started life as a coal wharf. Landlubbers can stroll to Millennium Park, a wildlife haven with a giant sundial, and admire The Round House, an octagonal building erected in 1827 as a village lock-up.
Stop for refreshments at The Blacksmiths Arms, dating back to 1753, the 17th century Three Crowns or The Hunting Lodge, which has six themed bedrooms. You can also enjoy a coffee, and shop for fresh produce at Millie’s Café and Farm Shop at High Meadows Farm. Although the ‘Barrow Kipper’ now resides in Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, visitors can follow a fun trail of fossil sculptures scattered throughout the village.
