Leonie went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable. So many nice and thoughtful additions to make the stay pleasant. The space is small but the set up makes it functional and cozy.
Leonie was an absolutely wonderful host, I highly recommend you stay with her. The room is very private and is separate from the main house, and she supplies an assortment of lovely snacks on top of the tea and coffee you usually get at airbnb's. Her recommendations on places to eat were much appreciated after a smooth check in, and the room itself was extremely comfortable and well heated. I was able to sleep outside the covers even in the UK winter! The town is also a very short walk for those without a vehicle. :)
lovely little room, with everything you need, little kitchenette area and shower room. it all bit tight but manageable and comfortable. owner was very informative with everything you'd want. walking distance from the town. Will be back for sure.
A very comfortable, private little place, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, with excellent communication from the host.
Wonderful park and river walks, not half a mile away, the moors, approximately 2 miles away beaches, 3.5 miles away, pubs, little eateries and coffee shops, quiet and rural.
Locally:-
When you arrive just park in drive next to the Nook, you can just walk right on in, and chill, I will leave the door open for you, and you can use the key in the door while here
A great place for dinner is Trebarwith Strand about 3.5-4 miles away, when you get there , park at the bottom and walk up to the pub, you can sit outside and watch the sun go down over the sea, it’s lush!
Or there’s a pub in Camelford town-beer garden is nice at The Masons weather permitting! Check in Winter as sometimes staff are short!
The Indian King, Indian Coffee Lounge in town is great for brunch/lunch too! Top of the town in Camelford, sometimes they open evenings..
There’s a great River walk in town and the park is beautiful! Up past the chemist you will see an alley way between the houses and shops on the left side of the street ( same side as Boots) Park is left out of Mill Lane
Port Isaac and Port Gaverne are about 6 miles away and gorgeous! Well worth a look and you can do both in one visit.
Lots of eats places there too! Nathan Outlaws, Pilchards, The Mote Harbour pub and the Golden Lion all great!
Check online for availability as some shut this time of year
Pilchards is lovely:
There are walking books in the room black cabinet for the moorland which is walking distance and just beyond the edge of town in both directions!
If using the bus look at go bus for Cornwall, bus stops are five mins away… it is the no . 95 and 96 you would need for most destinations..
Wadebridge is a lovely town and Polzeath and Rock both nice for beaches and walking too !
There will be a few breakfast snacks , bread for toast, butter, jam, milks, cereals, bits in your room search around in the tins and fridge 🤩
There’s a lovely gift shop in town called Big Sky Silver for a present if you need such..
There’s a Co-op top of Dark lane, and turn left to the end..
St. Kew Inn is lovely ( bottom of the valley) and a pretty short drive .
There is the Tiny Thai in Wadebridge which does eat in or take out. It is delicious!!!
You can eat in, in the Tintagel one, it’s just opened up but check it as I’m not sure if open every night like the Wadebridge one
St. Breward pub on the moor in St. Breward, is gorgeous for a beer but the food has been a bit touch and go last time we went -staff issues again . But over time it has been great-good pub grub!
Good luck, safe journey and enjoy!
Parking is available at the premises and in town, there are buses to local villages and seaside towns, and Bodmin Parkway train station is around 14 miles away
