Die Unterkunft von Kalist hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Wegbeschreibung von Airbnb stimmte leider nicht, aber Kalist war sofort erreichbar und wir bekamen einen persönlichen Standort per SMS. Kalist wird dies aber auf Airbnb beheben. Also zuvor abklären. Lazaro ein Masai kümmert sich um alle Angelegenheiten und macht abends das Lagerfeuer an und hält es am laufen. Ein sehr netter junger Mann mit dem wir uns gerne unterhalten haben. Die Unterkunft ist sehr groß mit schöner Küche, supersauber, 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder und ist in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend mit einem wunderschönen Viewpoint in ca. 15 min zu Fuss erreichbar. Man kann in dieser Gegend sehr schön umsonst und sicher wandern, durch die Villages gehen und wird überall herzlich gegrüßt und die Kinder kommen her und freuen sich. Wirklich tolles Erlebnis. Würde ich jedem empfehlen der ruhe will und in einer schönen Umgebung wohnen will. Danke an Kalist dem Eigentümer und Lazoro

If you are headed to Ngorongoro Crater (about 25 min from Karatu/this Air BnB) we highly recommend this place. Lots of space on two floors - kitchen one can cook in easily...good hot water...reliable electricity. You will have a high security gate with locks...and a nice young Maasai man (Loranzo) who will let you in and out. You will need a vehicle so we recommend this place to anyone doing a self-drive...and this place is much (much) better than any of the lodges not in the national park - and a significantly lower price. Bring supplies from Arusha (host will provide ample good drinking water in 10 gal containers) as shopping is not easy in town. Eat at Lilac Cafe (main road) or Lilac Restaurant (near hospital) both good food. Otherwise we highly recommend this place: lots of room...safe and kind hosts (who can be hired to make breakfast/lunch/dinner). The fans in the house were wonderful (no air con but not needed)...and windows all screened.

I have stayed at kalisti place before actually for 4months last year so you must realise how highly I rate and recommend his as a place to stay in karatu

Kalisti is the most amazing host i am always happy to come again and rent from him. He is very nice and friendly and alway willing ti help. His houses are realy lovely and the area is realy nice. Im always happy to be here.

The house is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. the garden is lovely with a cosy place to light a fire . The kitchen and bathroom are spaeshois. Great for a short or long term stay.
