The modern cozy 4- bedroom is a very nice, apparently newly built small home on Lake Ida. A great and very clear lake with a shallow entrance off of a small set of stairs on the dock. End of dock is about 3-4 feet deep so perfect for swimming, etc. The views are spectacular. Big windows and a massive screened in porch, Wow! The home is super close to the water as you can see from the pics. The house is "cozy" but has all the amenities and bedrooms noted with very comfortable beds and lots of closet space with plenty of hangers. Kitchen on the lower level is large, well stocked and is part of a open kitchen/seating area. The only reason this didn't get five stars from me is the proximity to the County Rd, the lack of TVs (there was one small 24" monitor with a digital antenna) and slow internet (not usable for work purposes). The other thing that isn't really noted in the description is a very narrow circular stairway to get from one floor to the next.

Wonderful view of the sunset from the screened in patio overlooking the lake. Wasn't too sure how my 2 & 4 year old grandchildren would navigate the spiral staircase, but they did great! Each time the 2 year old would come down the staircase she would exclaim "turtle" glancing over at the picture in the window, priceless. Lake is much cleaner and less busy than the Alexandria chain of lakes. Loved every minute and will definitely come back. Paul

We really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and peacful. A beautifully updated pristine home on a beautiful large lake to watch the sunsets. We also enjoyed fishing, boating, kayaking, wine tasting and pizza at highly rated winery nearby. Would highly recommend this property for your next summer vacation!

We are so grateful for our time at this cabin home. The interior was clean and appeared newly renovated. There were lots of great outdoor seating areas, including a spacious upper deck and a comfortable, screened-in lower porch. Lake Ida is beautiful and peaceful, and it's hard to imagine a spot with easier lake access (just steps away from the back porch). The hosts generously allowed us to use their kayaks, which we really enjoyed! Our kids loved playing in the shallow water near the dock. We also enjoyed exploring the area around the cabin, including the nearby winery. Guests with mobility issues might want to inquire about the spiral staircase between the two levels of the home, as this could be challenging for some people. Fortunately, one can easily access the lower level from the outside, too, and the steps there are wider and more accommodating. Trista, the host, is fantastic - friendly, thoughtful, and responsive!

Beautitular home, very clean, all the amentities and more, snacks, coffee, and water waiting for us when we arrived. All cleaning, bathroom, and kitchen essentials are there. The beds are comfy, shades on windows are awesome, and large windows and views of the lake are breathtaking. Trista, the host, was amazing, friendly, flexible, and accommodating. The air conditioning froze up and Trista had someone there to fix it within 45mins. She offered different options/reimbursement as an apology about the air. This was not asked for and was such a kind surprise. One of the best hosts I have ever experienced. The kayaks were a blast for the kids. The dock provided great fishing. Life jackets, beach towels, and swimming floatation, board games, beach towels, everything you need for a great family summer vacation. The deck was great with comfy patio furniture and a gas fire pit, but we LOVED the screened in porch, beautiful sunset watching, warm fire pit, relaxing sounds of the lake.
