A beach side property perfect for a traveling couple or anyone looking to get away - with a bit of community. We stayed here on our bicycle tour and enjoyed having the beach less than a block away with kids and families all around. It’s a warm neighborhood. You are removed from the busy city and can even get some decent food at the fish stand at night. Little shop to grab milk, samosas, and those things as well. The house, as is typical in India, is run like a hostel more than a home. A benefit is sharing the dining room table and hear why others have come as well (I met a German traveler and a Dutch couple.) The rooms have nice A/C, great shower, and Achuthan goes above and beyond making sure you have a comfortable stay. I’d recommend booking, especially for those looking to enjoy time near the beach.

Thanks Achutan for the lovely stay. We really enjoyed being there. Everything was the way I expected to be. A special thanks for the arrangement that practically could not have been possible, which you made on my request. It is a nice place near the beach where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. The place has all the arrangements which you wish for a relaxing trip. Overall, kannur is not a place for the loud people. Come to this place if you really want to enjoy the clean and very less crowded beaches.

The host was very kind and open to help us in every situation. The location is very close to the beach but you should rent a bike or call a tuktuk to go to the city. The clearness could be better. In general we were satisfied.

Achutan has made you a lovely home to stay. The home is outside of citynoise, outside of citystress, inbeded in a nice - still fishing - village with lovely people you can meet on the way or at a teashop. I have spent much time at Meenkunnu beach. The house itself is made very beautiful and has all facilities you might need. Achuthan himself is a very friendly man, helpful and communicative. And last but not least the food is good and tasty. In all it is a good place to relax. Christof, Switzerland
