自我介绍

My husband, Dave, and I met 14 years ago, while he was traveling for the Army Corps of Engineers and stayed in the hotel that I managed. At that time he was building a beautiful house along the St. Johns River, a house built with visitors in mind and when family is not using the space, we have made it available to travelers visiting this peaceful, unspoiled, "old" Florida. We have met so many wonderful people that have stayed with us, that we have added a second home in our neighborhood to make available for more guests. I was born in Germany and grew up overseas, living in Germany, Belgium, Italy and Africa. I studied at the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany and returned to the US for a hospitality career of 25 years. Dave was born in New Jersey and lived all over the US during his Coast Guard career. We continue to love to travel and experience new cultures, eat new foods (to include Kangaroo) and to understand new cultures. We appreciate the sunshine and taking boat rides of any type to capture photos of Florida's natural wildlife. We love the outdoors, riding bikes, kayaking, boating, swimming, working in the garden, spending time with our wonderful family, making time to travel and always making new friends. Life is short, make the best of it!
