The view from my oceanfront condo at Sunscape Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico's famous Hotel Zone could be yours to behold. Relax on your balcony while taking in where the sparkling waters of Banderas Bay and the silhouette of the Sierra Madre Mountains meet a bright blue sky. Whether you have the morning sea breeze to greet you, or the glowing rays of sunset to send you into an exciting evening, this spectacular view promises the magic memories of a lifetime. Overlooking the resort’s large swimming pool and one of the best sand beaches in Puerto Vallarta, the two-room open concept paradise provides a Zen like experience for a king bed with a fabulous view of the ocean. High-powered air conditioning for a breezy atmosphere adjustable to your liking and high-speed internet, a televisions, and local cable TV to keep you connected. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove top, microwave, blender, coffee maker and includes pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, glassware, coffee mugs, dish towels, dish cloths and dish soap. In the bathroom you will find bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, hand soap, body soap and toilet paper as well as a hair dryer and clothes iron. Note: You are allowed 6 guests but there is only 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed. LIQUOR STORE After traveling all day, we understand that the first thing you probably want to do when you settle into the condo is have a nice cold drink! There is a liquor store downstairs in the lower-level commercial area. You can purchase beer, coolers, liquor, wine, champagne, soda, juice, ice, water, as well as 30 oz. thermos cups which you can use for entry into the resort. The liquor store is open from 10 am to 10 pm, 7 days per week.

This is not an easy review to draft. Airbnb users refuse categorically hotels and its limitations. we refuse one bathroom and to wait your turn. we refuse one space has it all, we prefer a closed bedroom, so when you wake up at night you don't disturb your partner.. this is not the case in this hotel room. Being in a resort means enjoying a cold one with chips around the pool, you can't do that in this hotel. At resorts, it's nice to sit at the lobby watching people, read a book while sipping on a coffee and croissant, you can't have that in this hotel. I'm translating in a clear language the set of "rules" mentioned by the owner. As a foodie we like Airbnb to cook, to have leftovers oils, vinegars and spices and ample counter space, not here. We love the simplicity in stepping into a house or apartment not to face incredible hurdle trying just to sit on the curb of the hotel. He accommodated our check-in, but don't go there before 3pm. Otherwise, we had a reasonable 11 days off.
Fantastic stay. The view is absolutely gorgeous. A low hotel roof directly in front, but it does not spoil to panoramic view and we loved sitting on the balcony. The apartment is a perfect size for 2. The furniture is good quality, although the bed is extremely firm. The bathroom has dated cabinets but the shower is brilliant- if only ours at home was as good! One of the two rings on the stove did not work, but we were only boiling water so it did not affect us. The washing machine also did not work but was not a big problem. No issues at all with the ‘rules’. You just wear your wristband until checkout (as we saw numerous other people from other resorts doing) and you can’t use the pool or beach loungers after 8pm - totally reasonable to give staff time to clean and reset, and clearly the same rule in adjoining resorts. People reserved loungers from 7am and towels were never removed. No problem returning through reception at any time. Super helpful staff. Would definitely return.

Fantastic restaurants, some of the hottest nightclubs, high tech movie theatres, modern shopping malls, full-service grocery stores, convenience stores, pharmacies and the airport are all nearby. Taxis, Uber and buses are at your door to take you anywhere you want to go in minutes. Go south and you will hit the Malecon and Old Town (Romantic Zone). Go further south and you will arrive in Boca de Tomatlan. From there you can take a water taxi to Yelapa, a small fishing village frequented by the likes of Bob Dylan. Travel north and you will arrive at The Marina, Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, Punta Mita, Sayulita and San Pancho. You will be perfectly situated to explore everything Puerto Vallarta has to offer.
Taxis are available at the airport. Taxis, Uber, InDriver, and buses are all easy to access anywhere in Puerto Vallarta. It is approximately a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport to the resort. It is approximately a 20-minute taxi ride to the Malecon, Centro, and Romantic Zone.
