Centrally located at the top of the famous winding cobbles of St Catherine’s hill, it is just a stone’s throw from independent coffee shops and boutiques, as well as the renowned Bar and Bistro Lotte. The apartment is at the top of the building, so you do have to climb some flights of steps - but the view over the romantic rooftops of Frome to the hills of the Westbury White Horse will be worth it! The main building has a pillared portico and tall double doors, opening out into a large sunny courtyard, which is beginning to be transformed into a haven! You are welcome to sit out here and enjoy the sunshine and listen to the sounds of Frome from a position of privacy. The courtyard actually used to have a roof on it and be part of the interior of the chapel! The doors to the main building open into a large communal hallway - running the length of the back wall you can see the original chapel stained glass windows! Going up all three flights of stairs, you’ll find no 11, tucked away at the back left of the building. The living and kitchen area has beautiful high ceilings with an original cornice and a big sash window which looks out over the town and hillside. There is a shower room with a spacious stand alone shower, WC and wash basin. Adjacent is a bathing and dressing room with a cute Victorian roll top bath. This room has open wooden stairs leading to a mezzanine with a large, very comfortable king sized bed, always made up with crisp white cotton sheets.
