This 17th century coaching inn has retained many of its original features, including a hand carved staircase and hand painted sundial. The bar boasts 2 magnificent fireplaces which are reputedly the largest in East Anglia. We stock cask conditioned ales and a wide selection of fine wines. Food is served in both the bar and restaurant. All bedrooms are en suite, many with feature fireplaces and luxurious four-poster beds. Amazing building and friendly staff. Be aware that there is an additional charge of £15 for a dog, which wasn't in the air bnb rate but other than that we really enjoyed our stay

I stayed here 1 night as I was attending a local craft workshop the following day. Staff were helpful. Room was as described & comfortable. The restaurant was booked out for a large Christmas group meal, but there was space in the bar area to eat. Lovely log fire in the bar inglenook.

It is unfair to use the answers supplied for they did not reflect reality. It was hot, the bathroom had some dark stuff in the corners, the plug was not a perfect swallow staff were a little rattled as they could have been rushed off their feet. They had a fan which cooled the room down by midnight so I have no complaints other than one which is not a big one. Good effort in unusual weather.
