Walnut Creek Retreat was absolutely charming! I like to cook and the kitchen was very well supplied with plenty of tools, cookware, serve ware and dishes. The furniture, beds and linen were all of excellent quality and plentiful. There were so many welcoming touches! My only regret is that we didn’t plan to spend a few more days. This was one of the very best Air BnB experiences we’ve had anywhere.

From the moment we walked in it was comfortable and homey. Home was very clean. We didn’t cook while there but it appeared the kitchen was well stocked. I’m hoping the next time we are in the area this place is available.

Larry’s place is the first place we have stayed with our new pup. It was extremely dog friendly: from the small yard in the back that dogs can use to go potty, to the lock on the wraparound porch so the dog can roam a little, to the treats in the kitchen and extra blankets and towels if needed. Our non-fur babies (11 and 7 years old boys) loved the garage game area and the Roku TV. My husband and I loved that the bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked and equipped. The house is located in a valley between Highlands and Franklin, which is convenient but the house is near the road (our least favorite part) and the road to the Highlands is very tight and windy. However, the convenience of the location allowed us to do lots of awesome hikes! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Larry's home is beautifully decorated and super cozy and relaxing. My kids loved the game area and I loved the front porch overlooking the creek. The kitchen was perfectly stocked to cook meals. We truly felt at home- even the dog was thought of with gates on the porch and the fenced in dog run area. I highly recommend!

We felt right at home in this rental! The garage/game room was awesome, the kitchen had everything we needed, and our dog loved the gated deck and fenced-in dog run. Despite the widely fluctuating outside temperature during the week, the A/C and heating options worked well for the house layout. The amount of board games and books available will keep your family entertained for hours too. The internet connectivity/speed was quick and reliable, unlike many other rentals we've used in the area. It is dark enough at night to see tons of stars in the sky from the deck, and when you open the windows, you can hear the beautiful rushing creek right across the road. We absolutely loved everything about this rental experience, except the road traffic noise during the busier times of the week. We knew it was a gamble on the noise level based on the photos, but that road gets surprisingly busy sometimes.
