We had a lovely weekend break. The cabin was as described apart from there’s no WiFi. despite being advertised on the listing and also in the welcome brochure. We asked about this on site and was told there wasn’t any. The grounds are kept tidy and the view over the duck pond is just perfect. Our kettle didn’t work upon arrival however we were given a replacement that evening. The hosts only provide x2 dishwasher tablets and one bin bag so pack your own if you want to be a little more prepared. There’s plenty washing up liquid supplied though if you’d rather use that. Please note this is a very quiet site more suited to couples and families for restful stays rather than lively breaks.

What a fantastic lodge the kingfisher was, it is a very comfortable and very clean place, was fantastic. The hot tub was a bonus with working outside in the cold all day. Was made to feel very welcome when we checked in, and John showed us around. Let us know about a great takeaway that delivers to the site too. If I’m working in the area again I certainly will look at booking here again.
