Our modern interpretation of a classic Catskills Boarding House. Two painstakingly restored buildings comprising eight units ranging from one to four bedrooms, each with their own kitchenette and living space. Designed to follow the elegant simplicity of the Shakers with a focus on natural materials, functional design, and the luxury that comes from well made things. The Boarding House is an homage to the Catskills of old where hospitality came first. Apartment 5 is one of our three units on the second floor. A smaller apartment given its capacity, great for shorter stays. This apartment features a queen bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds, a full bathroom with walk in shower, as well as a small living room and kitchenette perfect for basic meals or relaxing after a day exploring the area. Located just a two minute walk from Callicoon Main Street and a 20 minute drive from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts!

By the mid-twentieth century, tourism to Callicoon had declined. But the twenty-first century has seen a revival, and downtown Callicoon, an area that includes our Boarding House, is now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Seminary Hill is thrilled to play a role in welcoming visitors once again to Callicoon and our corner of the Catskills!
Ride share hasn't quite made it to Sullivan County yet, nor do we have public transportation options- you'll need a car if you want to get around here! Here at the Boarding House offer free parking, with our main lot directly across the street from the Boarding Houses and two smaller lots beside the buildings for our ADA guests. From here it's only a two minute walk to Callicoon Main Street and a three minute drive up the hill to the Seminary Hill Tasting Room.
