Shaldon is a quaint little fishing town, sitting opposite Teignmouth at the mouth of the River Teign &ndash; which is easily reachable on one of the regular ferries so you can explore further afield. Teignmouth also offers rail links to cities such as Devon and Plymouth if you want to explore a little further afield. Shaldon is a great place for walking too with the South West Coast Path offering some fabulous coastal strolls right from the doorstep. Follow one of the nature trails, do a spot of bird watching on the river or try your hand at one of the water sports on offer.
