Perfectly located for easy access to all of the adventures Central Oregon has to offer! **no booking fees** **no pets** Located in a park-like setting on the banks of the Little Deschutes River in Central Oregon, Maia's Garden Glamping is the perfect choice for an upscale glamping experience. Our attention to detail is what sets us apart. Your accommodations include a well-appointed Sibley Canvas Bell tent (safari style), queen bed with bedding and mosquito netting, solar energy to charge up your devices, a small refrigerator, and a seating area in the tent for relaxing and enjoying a variety of games provided. Comfortable lounge chairs and a table are located just outside the tent. There is a comfortable gazebo area for lounging around. A private bathroom with hot shower, sink, and regular flush toilet is the finishing touch that won’t disappoint. Additional amenities include towels (for bathing and for river), daily lite cleaning of tent, shampoo/conditioner, and body soap. Each morning, our guests will be served a continental breakfast that they can choose to consume in the gazebo or seated at a riverside table that enjoys plenty of morning sunshine. In the evening, our guests are treated to a complimentary glass of wine or beer, served with a side of cheese or another special snack. Between breakfast and the evening wine, our guests can relax on the two-acre property, hanging out at “the beach” area and enjoying complimentary use of paddleboards and kayaks (on property only). The property sits on a beautiful section of river with easy flowing current, making for easy upriver paddling followed by an enjoyable float back to the property. Paddleboard or kayak lesson/instruction for beginners is included (just ask!). PFD’s, paddles, and leashes provided as well. Although most guests find it hard to leave the property, when you do decide to venture out for a classic Central Oregon adventure, our location puts you right in the middle of the action! Maia's Garden Glamping is located: -5 miles from Sunriver (restaurants, bars/breweries, shopping, grocery store) -20 minutes south of Bend, OR -12 minutes to LaPine, OR -25 minutes to Mount Bachelor and on to the surrounding Cascade Lakes -8 minutes to LaPine State Park (Big Deschutes, mountain biking, hiking) -10 minutes to Quail Run Golf Course -30 minutes from Phil’s Trail mountain bike area -1 hour from Smith Rock State Park (Terrebonne, OR) -2 hours from Crater Lake National Park *access to property itself is via paved roads only (no dirt or gravel roads). About the property: As we were developing the property (clearing, planting, cutting, sweating, bleeding, etc), we tried to leave it as natural as possible, trying to simply refine the already natural beauty of the property. The result is meandering paths through the willows that often arrive at unique locations where guests can sit and read a book, take a nap, or cool off in the river. A fire pit is located on the property, however fire regulations during the summer months do not normally allow for open fires. In the early morning you can sometimes see river otters or the beaver that lives across the river. Deer frequent the property. A large covey of quail also call the property home. Hawks and eagles can often be seen cruising overhead. In short, we have done our best to preserve the natural beauty of the land. We consider ourselves stewards of the land, as opposed to owners. We think you will truly enjoy the results of our vision. Our guests: The owners of the property are on site, and we do our best to only be visible to our guests when they need something, or when we are tending to the property to make it more comfortable for our guests. We want our guests to feel like they are at home. The owners try and make themselves always available by text. When a problem or issue arises, we want to know about it right away so we can fix it. BBQ/Tiki Lounge: One of our favorite spots on the property is the Tiki Lounge. This is a great spot to enjoy your breakfast as it gets hit by the morning sun. In addition, a propane gas BBQ is located here and is available for use by guests. If you decide to use the BBQ, just let us know and we will provide you with cooking utensils, plates, and flatware to use. The Beach: This is the place to get in the water! Easy stair access from the bank gets you into a nice swimming/wading hole. The river bottom here is sand and smooth lava rock. On the shore you can catch some sun or sit in the shade under the bamboo palapa. A great place to spend the day!! Pets and Children: Although we love both of them, we decided to make Maia's Garden Glamping for adults and humans only. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are sure you will enjoy your time on the property focusing on yourself. All guests must be 21 years of age. Paddleboards and Kayaks: We provide two paddleboards and two kayaks that can be used by registered guests only. In addition to the boards, paddles, PFD’s, and leashes are also provided. The use of the paddleboards and kayaks is limited to on-site only (cannot be taken off property). Paddleboards and kayaks can be used to paddle UPRIVER ONLY from put in site (beach), and then of course to return back downriver to beach area. Paddleboards and kayaks cannot be used to paddle downriver from beach. If guests provide their own boards or kayaks, they may paddle where they wish. A waiver must be signed to use paddleboards and kayaks. Unregistered Guests: While we understand that many people travelling to Central Oregon often come in a group, or have friends staying nearby, we politely ask that you limit the number of unregistered guests on the property to no more than 4 additional adults (again, no children or animals). Weather: Maia's Garden Glamping is located at 4400 ft elevation. This location makes for strong sunshine during the day (sunscreen and hat), and cool nights (great for sleeping!). It is not uncommon in the summer to have 45 degree changes in temperature over a 24 hour period (high of 93 during the day, dropping to 45 at night). As a result, we recommend you bring a warm jacket (ie: lightweight puffy coat) and pants. While the tent does not necessarily get cold at night (extra blankets are provided just in case), if you are outside gazing at the amazing night sky, you may get chilly without the right clothes. Summary of inclusions: -no additional booking fees -Daily continental breakfast -Daily glass of wine or beer -On site use of Paddleboards (2) -On site use of kayaks (2) Smoking: Maia's Garden Glamping is a non-smoking property. We sincerely appreciate your compliance.
