Pros- The apartment is nice, open with lots of light. It has amazing views of the gulf. The hot shower had good water pressure. The double bed was comfortable & was defo thankful for the blanket aswell as the sheet & throw for the bed. The kitchen hob was easy to use & did the job well. Overall the place was clean with just what's mentioned in the cons. This was very good value for the cheap price. Cons - When I arrived I was told the WiFi was down & hopefully it would be fixed tomorrow. With no phone signal & needing to work this wasn't ideal. After asking a couple more questions via air b&b they turned the WiFi on. Which I found strange when they said they were waiting for repair. I was told when booking it was 15 mins walk from the town. But it was over 30 mins on maps The sponge in the kitchen was old/very dirty so I bought a new one as I couldn't bare to use it. If you're a light sleeper please be aware it's so loud at night with the wind around the building.

Do not be put off by the location. It is about 30min walk to the centre of Santa Elena. Up hill on the way back! It’s a bit difficult if you need to wheel your bag. It’s better if you can carry it. Of course if you have transport it is ok. The bus I took dropped me about 25 metres from their home. It is directly opposite another small hotel (Calathea) that has good signage. Jorlen and his partner Natalie are so very helpful and offered to drive me into town when needed. They are such lovely people and trying very hard to make everything really good for their guests. Their local knowledge is fantastic and they can advise on and book tours. The tour I took,collected and returned me to the accommodation. The room is perfect for a single or couple and there are cooking facilities and a drip coffee maker. There’s a hot water electric shower head but don’t turn the water on very fast as it will not get hot. I had a lovely hot shower once I worked this out.

I cannot begin to thank Jorlen enough for his hospitality. We had a very long day of travel and needed a last minute booking. Jorlen was kind enough to host us despite the late hour of our booking. the rental was very clean and conviently located. it had all the ammenities one could need during their stay and was very comfortable. we could not have asked for more or a more kind host. The price for the rental was a fantastic deal for what is provided. I would highly recommend this airbnb for anyone looking for a comfortable stay near to monte verde. thank you so much again!

Sincèrement, l’un des meilleurs hôtes que j’ai eu la chance de côtoyer. Très attentif et de bon conseil. Il connaît très bien les alentours!
