Absolutely beautiful in stunning surroundings. Upon arrival we felt at home. The host kindly left bread, eggs, bacon, fruit and non alcoholic fizz (thank you very much!). The house is gorgeous with everything you could possibly need. It was so peaceful sitting on the patio by the water in the morning with a cup of coffee. Fantastic walks close by around the countryside and lakes. The local pub was lovely and within walking distance (20-30 mins) offering a variety of meals. None of us wanted to leave. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location, peaceful. Plenty of walks on the doorstep. Set is large spacious garden. Lots of space for stairs for sitting & eating Kitchen well equipped Would be nice to have a room or 2 with twin beds so easier for families Well presented, friendly welcoming hosts. Lovely welcome gift & starter items in fridge. Recommend a stay here

The house was large with a well equipped kitchen. Cosy and warm with beautiful views of the River Nene. Gardens picturesque with lots of wildlife to watch. Lots of parking and eating and sitting areas. Julian our host was helpful in his recommendations and eager to please his guests. We hope to return soon.

I have had to give a 1 star review as we never got the chance to stay here. On the day of arrival we were contacted by the host to say there was a 'glitch' and although we had booked and paid for 24 days we could only have it for 7 as it was their rule. I accepted the 7 days as I urgently needed accommodation at short notice. However, within 2 hours I received a call saying 'the glitch' also affected their nightly rate and that if I wanted to stay then the price would be double. Obviously we could not afford such an increase and had to cancel. The down side of this was I couldn't have a refund for up to 15 days which again caused huge problems along with the fact I now had to find alternative accommodation at short notice. The refund was processed but am still waiting for it to clear on my card. The whole experience made me feel as though this was a scam as they knew how difficult it would be. Although the property looks beautiful I would not recommend this host based on my experience

Quirky property in lovely location. Plenty space for all our party. However ‘luxury’ description is not merited. Outside poorly presented. Leaf-fall across patio, loose paving slabs, flower beds untended, outsides of windows dirty. Kitchen lacked full size freezer - the one provided in conservatory required access from outdoors across uneven patio. Conservatory not a useable space. Very untidy and dirty. Lounge smelt like wet dogs which got worse when we used the hoover as this was full and the filter choked. We hoovered and febreezed the furniture because of smell and found under the seat cushions were stains and rubbish - including food and even a tooth! Bedrooms lack hanging space other than a hook on the back of each door and a single coat hanger. Bedding, whilst scrupulously clean, was not luxurious. Same story with towels which were rough to the touch. En-suite bathroom contained a half-size bath - only useable for a shower, but no screen/curtain. Dust and dirt on many surfaces.
