Great location for walking around Brixham and the parking pass for the nearby Marina car park was a real bonus. Clean and tidy cottage, needs some tlc maintenance wise but overall has everything you need for a short stay. Would recommend not entirely suitable for those with young children due to steep stairs and proximity to road.

The house itself was as described and nice enough, but unfortunately the top bedroom suffers badly from mould/ damp on the walls. It was also unfortunate that the sky light had been left open so the room was freezing and the carpet rain sodden, and didn’t dry out over 3 days. The smell of wet carpet was overpowering and white fluffy mould on the walls was worrying. The check in was a little unclear, just a bit more information was required such as ‘lock box by the back door and contains the back door key, front door key is in the kitchen’ would be helpful, rather than ‘lockbox through the gate’, especially when you are pulled up on a busy and narrow road trying to unload in a hurry. It could also be clearer as to which of the 2 marina carparks the parking is for, and that this is at least a 10 minute walk along narrow pavements from the house. The house would benefit from basic cleaning facilities being provided, such as a surface cleaner, kitchen towel and a mop and bucket.

Accommodating host, lovely convenient location, very homely cottage with all required amenities, would definitely recommend.
