We are absolutely enamored with “the castle” on the hill. It had such a huge amount of charm and the views were stunning! The lights of the city by night had me humming “city of stars” and the daytime ambience had a Tuscany vibe. I just left this house and already miss it! There was plenty of space for our family of 7 including bathrooms. The location felt magical and was only about 40 minutes to Disneyland and an hour to Huntington Beach. Perfect vacation! I almost don’t want to give such a raving review so it can be kept a secret but that’s not fair to this beautiful place. 😉

Great stay at a beautiful location with an amazing view of the hills and surrounding city. Nick, the property manager was great and attentive and the property itself was giant and very accommodating.

Wow what an amazing historical house perched on the top of a hill. The views were exceptional looking toward the snow capped San Gabriel mountains and down to the valley below. We were there for New Year’s and saw multiple fireworks displays from high up on the hill. The home is beautiful with so many historical touches - gorgeous woodwork and wood floors, many coats of arms, classic windows, fixtures and kitchen from the period. We were imagining the parties and gatherings that happened in this place. It would make an incredible movie set. Kitchen is quirky in a wonderful way. Some parts could use an update but wouldn’t want to ruin the character. We loved it. The beds were comfy and bathrooms were updated. All had great linens. This house is set up so well as a rental. It has everything you need and tons of space. We enjoyed making several meals there and absorbing this great spot. The notes everywhere were very helpful. We even had a visiting owl that made it extra special.
