Beautiful location, remote, yet steps away from scenic hiking trails and the Kickapoo river valley- great river for beginner kayaking- all around a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. The house is up on a hill, gorgeous views, lots of land, but under construction and clearly not finished ( they’re adding a master bedroom that will be awesome, but right now it’s under construction, the loft has a curtain hiding the unfinished attic, the basement feels a little like a hunters bachelor pad, and the overall feeling of the place is that once it’s done it will be amazing, but right now, it’s a work in progress). However, the house was clean, tidy, spacious enough for a family, and the price does reflect all the above, in that it is less expensive, and still beautiful piece of land in a gorgeous location, remote, quiet, relaxing, and serene. Just wow. I was looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life, and Robert's place was better than I could have asked for. The views from the front yard are even better than the photos, and nothing could have prepared me for how many stars I would see on a clear night. The listing is extremely accurate, and the house itself was comfortable and inviting. I hope I'm able to stay here again next summer.

The cabin is located up a hill in a secluded, extremely serene and scenic area. We were pleasantly surprised by the mountains and gorgeous landscape that surrounded us. Unbeknownst to us, about 10 minutes away, was Organic Valley's base, which elevated local towns' restaurant and grocery options. We loved exploring Viroqua, kayaking down the Kickapoo River and hiking at Wildcat Mountain State Park. We plan to return! Quick note :As other reviews mentioned, the path up to the cabin is a bit steep, but we had a SUV, so it wasn't an issue for us.

This cabin was everything we needed to relax and de-stress. Serene and quiet, close to hiking and outdoor activities. The recommendations for restaurants were spot on. The space and amenities were just right for us. We look forward to returning to this peaceful oasis!!
