Ita and Michael were very friendly and responsible hosts, really really helpful and nice. The cottage was in immaculate condition, everything looks new and very clean. The place is very peaceful and quiet. We had our full privacy and really enjoyed our stay. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub, it was worth the wait. The instructions in the cottage were clear and simple. Me and my partner had really nice weekend off in the “middle of nowhere” as we normally joke. Thanks again to Ita and Michael for being very helpful, respectful, friendly and nice. Helen & Stephen

fabulous location and a view to die for. Good local pubs and also a great Indian meal delivered. walks from the cottage were beautiful with so much birdsong and spring blooms. easy to get to Edale for hiking Kinder Scout. It was not warm enough to use the hot tub but the log burner was great indoors.

Lovely views, lovely walks, some really nice pubs all within walking distance. Hosts were super responsive and willing to help with suggestions on walking routes. The area was so peaceful and felt like the perfect few days away from reality. Our only concern was the hot tub and how long it took to heat up- if we’d not planned to stay in for a day, we would never have been able to heat it up. It took 6 hours just for the tub to get warm and that was with constant maintenance. We would have liked to have been told this, so maybe if we were going to be in a little bit more, we would have been very disappointed. Aside from that though, would recommend and will definitely be coming back to the Peak District!

We loved out stay at Higher Capstone Cottages. The accommodation was to the highest standard. The location was quiet and peaceful being perched upon the side of a hill and at end of a small lane, and the views from the cottage were stunning as we looked out over a valley with the High Peaks lining the far horizon. Our host were there if we had any queries and needed help, but kept a quiet distance respecting our privacy. All in all it was the perfect place for us and we would return without any hesitation should we find ourselves in the Peak District again.

Everything about this place was just perfect!!The pictures don’t make it justice - the views were amazing and the cottage was spotless. Ita and Michael were so lovely from the start. I am so glad we found this little gem and we will definitely be back! :)
