This place was absolutely incredible, it's the perfect place for anyone who wants to see just quite how beautiful England and the Peak District can be. The views from morning to night are absolutely breath taking and forever changing, with you getting the perfect balance between city views and country side views. Having been a local to the marple/mellor area my entire life but lived abroad for a year, I needed to find a place for my partner and I to stay whilst her family visited, and I must say after staying here it is the perfect way to experience living around here. The location is amazing offering great pubs and restaurants only 10 minute walk away, or 5 minute drive to the nearest train to take you to the city, whilst delivering the perfect country side feel and amazing views. My partners family and myself were absolutely blown away with this place, making it an absolute must have when they next come to visit.

We loved our stay in the cottage. The setting was absolutely stunning and the cottage was beautiful and well equipped. The home is warm and can be topped up with the log burner, plenty of logs included for inside and for the jacuzzi. The area was peaceful and quiet despite guests in the other cottage. Plenty of local walks but also close to most attractions in the Peak District. Ita was a great host, communicated straight away when needed but also gave us privacy. Let us know local recommendations that were really helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This is truly a beautiful part of the world and a perfect base for exploring the Peak District. The hosts were very friendly, very accommodating, nothing seemed to be a problem. They were even kind enough to prepare the hot tub pre arrival, which takes 5 hours. The view (especially sunrise and sunset) is stunning. The properties are warm, cosy, comfortable and clean. I couldn't recommend this gem enough, if there was a button for 6 stars I would push it.

I had the best stay and I cannot recommend this place more highly! It’s a beautiful, cozy place at the top of a hill with incredible 180 degree views of the hills of the Peak District. Depending on the weather, you can see all the way to The Cage at Lyme Park. Ita and Michael are the best hosts. They were so helpful, warm, and kind. It’s a quiet place, but very easy to get to near villages or go into Manchester. It’s the best of both worlds. I would tell everyone I know to stay here, and I’m excited for the day I can come back! Absolute best stay!

* read to the end * The place was wonderful and the hosts were absolutely fantastic . The location was lovely and the property was one of the best I have stayed in .It has to be worth noting that this property isn't actually on AIRBNB but on cottagesdotcom of whom use this platform to advertise their properties . The result is that they didn't reply to my question posted on AIRBNB and the AIRBNB listing hasn't been updated as certain facilities have been removed . There isn't a GYM ; My wife suffers from Hashimoto's and its important she exercises every day . It is worth noting that the underfloor heating is kept at an ambient temperature of 17-18 degrees and you have to light the single log burner to bring the temperature up to 20-21 degrees . It took between 2-3 hours to heat the three rooms ( We closed the 2nd bedroom door ) up . The towel rail has been disconnected .We had difficulty drying our wet clothes after spending days walking on the peaks . We went in march.
