Great little place to stay while visiting around the Hilo area, the hosts where very nice, outgoing, responsive, and they even gave us some aloe vera after getting pretty sunburnt. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for a more secluded nature stay.

It’s a really pretty tent in a really nice quiet spot. It has a zip line for kids which was a blast for my daughter. Melody was friendly and responsive. But don’t go expecting to cook your own meals. The hardest part of camping for me is cooking food. I have never done “Glamping“ before, but I assumed that since it was glamorous camping, it would make the cooking part more glamorous, too. Unfortunately, the cooking was impossible. The grill and picnic table are on the other side of the grounds from where the tent is. They are not lit at night , so you would have to do it in the dark. Which proved impossible since I didn’t bring a headlamp. Essentially nothing is provided other than cups, plates, cutlery, and a few pans. No salt, or oil, or even cooking utensils. There was nowhere to wash dishes, except in the bathroom sink , and no surface to put anything down on. It was way more difficult than a traditional camping experience as far as making food so be aware.

The tent is very cute i love the idea of glamping! This bnb makes me wanna buy a tent, it was so peaceful during the day (i was scared at night) but during the day I WAS OBSESSED. There were abandoned vehicles, homeless (?) people walking around, and stray dogs blocking near by roads only at night time so i was kinda freaked out. i wasn’t sure why the gate wasn’t closed at night, so it scared me more with how easily accessible the tent was with all the stuff outside i noticed. The area where the tent is was much darker than what i thought it would be and the light above the outdoor shower wasn’t working. The tent smells closed up and collects moisture easily so clothes/materials feel damp often (it rained the whole time we were here) :( BUT i only say this stuff for improvement/warning to others for the surrounding area. the hosts were so nice and would respond fast if we needed something.

My job can get a bit stressful, and it can be hard to really relax. I had one of the best nights sleep that I have had in a long time. I fell asleep to tree frogs singing, rain tapping on the shower after 13+ miles of hiking (my choice), so refreshing!! Absolutely amazing!! It would also make an awesome "romantic " getaway "
