Nothing really to add to previous reviews. The cottage is cosy and the heating responsive. The pub around the corner is good and has an extensive menu. The Post Office across the road is well stocked. The A66 is a couple of miles away and is excellent for accessing the Lake District. All in all money well spent and no problem with the accommodation.

Great location, very pretty. Place was warm with the heaters and the wood burner was a great addition to make it very cosy. Rooms all to a good standard and comfortable. If I were to be picky you could say the bathroom could be updated, but it adds to the character of the cottage. Would be better if guests didn’t have to sort own rubbish disposal at end of stay. I was staying for work and my vehicle is classed as commercial, this led to a small dispute at the recycling centre as I needed a permit.

The Cottage was perfect for our needs. It was warm and cosy, which was appreciated as we visited the area in a seriously cold spell! It was comfortable and clean, the beds were incredibly comfy, the cottage was quiet with good quality furnishings. Good value for a really nice space in a lovely village.

We had a nice time here over Christmas and new year. The living space is spacious but still feels cosy and the bedrooms and comfortable. To make it a better place to stay for over a week, a washing machine would be a useful addition. It was also inconvenient to have to drive our rubbish to the tip instead of there being an outdoor large bin.

The cottage was good but needs upkeep especially in the bathroom and kitchen. The smell in kitchen throws you off. The toilet flush doesn’t work at times, you have to press it 3 times to work. There are cobwebs, spiders and mold in bedroom and bathroom. Should really do something about the waste disposal, shouldn’t ask the guests to dispose off waste at 8 minutes drive. The location was good though.
