Ullswater 12 is an open-plan studio apartment for two people with lovely views, situated on the popular Whitbarrow Holiday Village, approximately 11 miles from Keswick and 8 miles from Ullswater, making it an ideal central base to explore the Lake District National Park. Free use of the on site leisure facilities including the indoor heated pool, sauna. On site restaurant and bar is available and guests have free parking too. The beautifully decorated apartment has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break, including a lounge & bedroom area that can be separated by the fitted privacy curtain and the well-appointed kitchen with modern appliances and a 4-seat dining table and chairs. There is a lovely private patio to sit out and enjoy the surrounding views. The bathroom is spacious and comes with a bath and shower over. Number 12 is a corner apartment with a more secluded feel, and the large dual-aspect windows face east, perfect for enjoying the sunrise, allowing lots of natural light to stream through the apartment. The apartment will suit guests with limited mobility as a ground-floor apartment. Take time out in the sauna, steam room and hot tub and enjoy swimming in the indoor heated pool. There's even a gym with a concept 2 rower, running machines and a programmable static bike, a leg press and shoulder press machines and a static cable weight machine. For the nights you don’t fancy cooking, why not stop in and dine in the on site restaurant and bar, open Wednesday to Sunday? Alternatively, several local pubs are offering a choice of food options. Overall, Ullswater Suite 12 is perfect for a couple to take a break in a tranquil setting and enjoy all the Lake District offers. Accommodation Summary: Bedroom area with a standard-size double bed, bedside tables, drawers and a fitted wardrobe. The fitted privacy curtain can separate the bedroom area from the lounge. The lounge is cosy with a large sofa and an armchair, a glass coffee table and TV with free-view channels, Bose DVD and audio set and surround-sound speakers. The bathroom is spacious for two people, comprising a toilet, twin wash basins, a bath with a shower over, complimentary hand and bath towels and bottles of hand gel, shower wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The kitchen has a full complement of utensils and crockery, a twin hob, a microwave/grill/convector oven, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, single sink, cupboard storage for your food, cleaning solutions, J cloth, sponge, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, and bin bags. A welcome pack includes black and green teas, coffee bags, milk and sugar sachets and biscuits. Things To Note: Free parking available on site. Guests are welcome to park at reception to load/unload luggage before parking in the main car park. There is shampoo/conditioner and shower gel in the suite for all guests. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer for communal use. Dogs are not permitted on site, but Border Kennels are at Berrier. The Restaurant is open from 15:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday to Saturday, serving food between 17:00 to 20:30. Sunday hours are 12:00 to 18:00. The swimming pool, children’s pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are in a communal space within the same building as the apartment. Towels are provided at the reception at no extra cost.  The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms are open from 08:00 until 19.45. (Closed for cleaning between 12.30 to 13.30). There is an adult swim-only session from 19:00 to 19.45. As there is no lifeguard on duty, swimming alone is prohibited. Use of the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room is for over 16s only. There is crazy golf on site with a loan of balls and clubs at reception and outdoor chess. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside on the patio area, and BBQs & fire pits are also not allowed. Please be aware that the holiday village rules request that the patio area be kept free of personal items, including drying wet clothes, swimwear, towels, play equipment or sports equipment. Hen & Stag parties are not permitted, noise should be kept to a minimum after 11 pm, and the site is free from vehicles, including cycles. Only service vehicles are allowed on site. All facilities and amenities outside the Apartment are provided and managed by the Holiday Park. Neither the agent nor the owner has any control over the availability or provision of the facilities and, therefore, cannot be held liable for any failure in the provision of said facilities. Any issues encountered while using the facilities should be directed to the reception team. Any problems inside the Apartment should be directed to Herdwick Cottages.

Very nice on the weekend before bank holiday, not too crowded, nice pool and spa area, reasonable price.. Tv a bit old but why watching TV in the lakes anyway.

The place was really lovely. Staff were really friendly and the pool was great. You had to book for the pool which was slightly annoying but when we got in there it was lovely.

We loved our stay at the Village, the amenities are fabulous and the location is ideal for what we wanted. The room is immaculate and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The outside area is beautiful (if only we had the weather to enjoy it more). We will definitely be back💕

Our stay was located in a beautiful location close to Keswick and Penrith. Perfect for couples. Amazing facilities with pool and jacuzzi. The apartment was perfect, good amount of space, clean, well equipped kitchen and phenomenal views. Also the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come again! Thank you:)

Nestled in the heart of the Lake District, Berrier is a charming village surrounded by rolling hills and stunning natural beauty, yet only a 15-minute drive away from Penrith, and Keswick is about a 20-minute drive away.
Perfect for exploration, this village is just a short distance from some of the area's most beloved attractions, including Keswick (20-minute drive), Penrith (15-minute drive) and Ullswater (15-minute drive). Enjoy outdoor activities like walking, cycling or horse riding, or relax and explore quaint shops, pubs and restaurants.
There's a great choice of fell walks locally, including the majestic Blencathra, and on route to Keswick, you will see the Newlands Mountain range in the distance. Further on towards Cockermouth is Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite lake. The Helvellyn range is within easy access by car via Troutbeck and Ullswater.
There is a bus service from The Sportsman Inn (approx 25 minutes walk), but the holiday location is more suited for guests with access to a car.
There is a farm shop, Base Camp, opposite the A66. This also provides tasty breakfasts and meals. Seeing the Llamas grazing in their surrounding fields is lovely, and trying out the local produce is a treat.
There isn't a shop on site. However, home shopping deliveries are permitted. Alternatively, the nearest supermarkets are in Penrith.
Whether you are looking for an action-packed adventure or enjoy the Lake District's peaceful surroundings, Berrier is the ideal base to explore them all.
