I had a wonderful 3 days in Karen's cottage. The location is idyllic: right in the center of this beautiful village and seconds from a lovely riverside walk that takes you to the foot of the Giant hill and a multitude of walks beyond. The cottage has been decorated to the highest standards, with tasteful furnishings perfectly in keeping with its period. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need. A unique property. I will certainly book again.
A beautiful, spacious cottage in a quiet village. perfect for getting away from the city. 3 great pubs on the doorstep as well as a well stocked local store. The cerne giant is walkable from the cottage. Dorchester is less the 15 mins away by car, and we also drove to the coast in less than 40 mins. Cottage has everything to need to feel like a home from home, and lots of great books to read. The street is quiet and we slept well.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, so handy for exploring the local area. Karen was a great communicator and the cottage is absolutely perfect. I can imagine in the summer it being lovely to sit in the back patio enjoying the sun with a glass of wine, unfortunately the weather was not with us to do this. (An excuse to visit again). The village pubs were very welcoming and dog friendly. The corner shop was an amazing treasure trove.
Wonderful
Really lovely cottage . Kitchen was very well equipt. Warm and cosy and a great welcome hamper. Beds were comfy and a secure garden for the doggies. No allocated parking but we always found a space close to the cottage and you can unload down the side of the cottage. We stayed at New Year. 3 great pubs on the doorstop. Locals were very friendly and we had a fab time. Despite the awful weather, the village was beautiful and we managed to get out for a few short walks. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.
