Mevagissey · 整套平房 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Unique 2-Bedroom Bungalow with free parking
This unique, stylish and modern bungalow occupies a rare position adjacent to the inner harbour which can be glimpsed through its courtyard entrance. You can easily walk on the level to all the local shops, restaurants, cafes and harbour without having to struggle up steep inclines. It is positioned in the main centre of activity for Mevagissey but nonetheless occupies a tranquil and peaceful spot in the courtyard. An additional benefit is the parking spot directly outside the bungalow. One external step leads through the entrance door to a small inner lobby area. Three steps then lead to the completely level accommodation. The bungalow is tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable with electric heating radiators. The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has a corner sofa unit, 60inch smart TV and dining room table with four chairs. The well- equipped kitchen has copious storage cupboards and work space. There is an electric oven and hob, slim-line dishwasher, individual undercounter fridge and freezers, microwave and washing machine. The breakfast bar area has two bar stools. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a comfy Emma Mattress. There is a cupboard off it with storage and hanging space. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, storage unit and hanging rail. Suitable for 1 or 2 adults. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, separate bath and heated towel rail. One Parking Space (in shared courtyard) with pots of flowers and a bench for sitting on outside. Please take care when driving along the harbour. The parking space is suitable for a small - medium sized car but the courtyard can be a little difficult to maneuver. (No SUV's)
A beautiful bungalow in a fantastic location. Such a treat to be on the harbour almost as soon as you step outside. The place was spotless, had lovely touches (kids' books, board games, spare pillows etc) and the water pressure was excellent. The hosts were also kind enough to leave us cake and milk. (Thank you!) Highly recommend.
Very straightforward and comfortable … excellent location great to be able to park right outside esp in this busy village
Amazing location - right on the waterfront and between restaurants and shops but sat back slightly so felt completely private. But the home itself was so lovely - really homely but smart and spacious. Loved it! Lots of things provided - books and games in the cupboard, a few basics in the kitchen, and kindly milk and cake left for us. The beds were really comfortable and the tv set up was fab. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay - we loved it!
The accommodation was fantastic, beautifully cleaned, modern, and brilliant parking 10 /10 Rose and Rod Pomeroy Thank you x
We stayed at Mariners Court in April 2024, my wife and I, plus my mother. We found the accommodation clean and tidy, as described and centrally located within Mevagissey. The location was fantastic and allowed us to enjoy walks round the harbour after a day out exploring the local attractions. There are plenty of food amenities, we tried The Lighthouse Cafe and The Fishermen's Chippy, both were fabulous. The accommodation allowed us to visit places locally such as Eden Project, National Trust properties at Lanhydrock and Trelissick and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. We would highly recommend a stay at Mariners Court.
For picture postcard beauty, stay in the authentic and thriving fishing village of Mevagissey. It’s situated on the south coast of Cornwall on St Austell Bay, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Mevagissey offers something for all ages and caters for many tastes and interests. It’s a popular family summer destination, with lots of beautiful beaches nearby, such as idyllic Polstreath and sandy Pentwan, with its watersports opportunities. With superb natural scenery, hidden coves and
rugged cliffs, hike a section of the South West coast path which passes through the village. Stroll around the twin harbour and explore the village’s narrow streets and alleys finding a range of hidden gems...unique independent shops, excellent eateries, art galleries and quirky gift shops. You might even hear local sea shanties drifting in the air as they are performed in historic pubs. Try fishing (and crabbing) off the sea walls or take an angling or boat trip out to sea. In the quieter winter months
escape for a totally different experience, witnessing nature’s wilder beauty in stormy seas and shifting skies.
The village dates to at least 1313 and is one of the oldest fishing ports in the UK. In the 18 th century it was the centre of the Cornish pilchard industry, which continues to be celebrated today in the vibrant annual Feast Week celebrations. Mevagissey also has a ship building legacy and tales from
the smuggling era abound. Head to the excellent local museum in the village to find out more…
Mevagissey is also the perfect base to explore further afield. Take the ferry to Fowey, weather permitting, from Easter to October, where you may spot a pod of dolphins or resident seal! Ten minutes away are the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan, which lay discovered until thirty years ago.
Charlestown of Poldark fame, Caerhays Castle and gardens, the Eden Project and Wheal Martin China Clay museum are all within easy reach.
Directions to your accommodation
Take the B3273 main road into Mevagissey. The main Willow car park is on your left hand side.
Drive past this and take the first turning which bears to the left. At the end of this road turn right and follow this one-way narrow road.
Take the left hand turning to the side of Martins Bakery, (two-way
traffic from now on) passing Mezzes on your right hand side. Follow this road round and bear right when you see the harbour in front of you.
Follow the harbour road past the Sharksfin and Harbour Tavern.
On the right hand side, after The Wheelhouse, drive through the narrow courtyard entrance by the side of Dotty Dear and park next to the bungalow if you are staying in Mariner’s Court (the fifth space along)
Please remember roads in Cornwall are notoriously narrow and winding, and Mevagissey is no exception. Please take special care when driving as there are no footpaths for pedestrians and people may step out of houses and shops straight onto the road.
