We loved our stay! We were two families with 2 7year old girls in tow. The house was comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate both families, kitchen was very well stocked, and you really felt you were someone’s guest in their home rather than at a sterile hotel-like rental. The house was also well situated for skiing at multiple locations nearby and checking out quaint little towns. There is another unit next door where the owner’s daughter has a vacation home. However we had complete privacy and were not disturbed at all by their presence nextdoor. In fact, we very much enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the owner’s daughter and our girls had a chance to play with the other kids too. This just added to the feeling of being a guest staying at an old friend’s home. All in all an idyllic visit.

We stayed at Michael’s for a NYE get-together with friends. Michael was very communicative and pro-active with instructions for access. The unit is huge in square footage and volume - it is a historic home completely modernized and with a warm and spiritual vibe. We loved it. The active wood fireplace and open concept kitchen were the highlights of our stay - cozy evenings around the fire in Michael’s place was exceptional. House is very clean. Some considerations we would have for next time is the location is on a main road, but everything we did was 10 minutes or less away (we recommend Naumkeag). The house is lived in, but we had no problem settling in and it made for great amenities. The house is a duplex with neighbors, but the neighbors are polite and respectful and the home is so big, it barely feels like a duplex. Kudos and thanks to Michael for allowing us to stay for New Years.

We rented Michael’s house to spend a relaxing weekend with friends and kids - there were 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies. The house was beautiful - soaring ceilings and oversized windows, eclectic art and decorations - just a great space for a big weekend hang! I knocked off a star because 1) the location was great in that it was super convenient to nearby towns and restaurants, but it was on a Main Street (up a long driveway), so not walkable at all. My husband went for a run and had to drive to a location to run, as you can’t really run from the house. And 2) I found it a little uncomfortable that the fridge/freezer/cabinets were full of half eaten food. It was all clean, but just a little difficult to “settle in” when you’re settling around someone’s stuff.

One of our best airbnb's yet -- and we've done ALOT ! Gorgeous yet thoughtful decor, so comfortable, great home nestled away from the main road and surrounded by beautiful greenspace and woods. The kitchen is gourmet yet easy to use - large enough and designed well enough so a few of us to could help prepare meals Large dining room table to hold all of us. Beautiful beamed high ceilings and wonderful art work throughout. Large open spaces on the ground floor for places to congregate. Bedrooms and bathrooms all large and beautifully furnished and equipped. The home is stocked with everything you could need. Highly recommend the wonderful house. We're coming back !

The house was absolutely beautiful! And so we’re the surroundings. It was an easy drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Michael and Barbara were helpful and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend the house! Mindy
