Fantastic place away from rest of the busy world. For 3 days we didn’t use a car but walked miles around valleys and hills. Coast within 1hr walk from cottage, plenty of paths and places for kids to explore of play in the stream. We’ll be looking to come back in warmer months. Gem of a place.

My family and I have just returned home from a lovely, relaxing 4 night stay with Gill and Iain. Both hosts were accommodating from welcoming us when we arrived, extra logs for log burner and tips on where to go and visit. Their home is beautifully clean with everything we needed. Games, puzzles, books... everything we needed to keep two young children entertained! The setting was perfect too, beautiful surroundings, great for exploring with 2 energetic children and dogs! For anyone wanting an idyllic break from a busy life, this is the perfect place. Thanks Gill and Iain, see you again soon.

Absolutely perfect bolthole for a quiet retreat with family or friends in a special place. Highly recommmended. If the idea of a digital detox and phone blackout worries you just embrace it and it really enhances the main reason you came - to get away. Iain is a great host - great communicator, hospitable and sets you at ease.

The accommodation had ample space for our family and was in a nice secluded spot but was not as cosy, welcoming and festive as expected for this celebratory time of year. Would probably be better to stay there in the summer as really wasn’t easy to warm up in the cold dark evenings of mid-winter when we were there. I appreciated being off internet/phone for a few days though was very glad to have brought a laptop to watch DVDs on in the long evenings.

Had an absolutley lovely weekend at Iain and Gills. Beautiful location, by the stream, which our dog Max loved, it was a very hot weekend so we kept cool. It was Terrys birthday and we had family to stay as well. Iain and Gill gave us a bottle of Fizz and Birthday card to help celebrate! Lovely cottage, very clean, cosy, but cool as well. This cottage had a patio with BBq so we ate out there every night. Went to Slapton Sands and had a lovely few hours on the beach, such a lovely area and we all enjoyed it. Went to the Queens Arms in Slapton Village on the way back, great pub. Really can't fault anything. Beautiful cottage and location and brilliant hosts. Thank You.
