The house was exactly what was promised. Adorable and comfortable. We were there to hike and were so pleased at how close it was to the hiking trails and a great little cafe for breakfast. We left a pair of shoes by accident and they not only found them for us but mailed them back to us free of charge!! We offered to pay but they refused! This was a great little house! We highly recommend!!

loved the location of the house, so close to independence & on the main road. the price was great for the area. I loved all the home amenities provided (was SO glad there coffee and a French press already there, as we completely forgot ours!) The home was very cute and quaint as described and was mainly clean, however I would recommend a deep clean to the whole house. there was a smell throughout the whole home that smelled like grandma's house for lack of better words. I didn't like that I had to clean all the dishes I used, as so many of them dirty, annoying we had to clean the dishes both before and after use. we also had an issue with ticks, couldn't even sit on the porch without seeing them, though that's more of a specific issue to the area versus this house possibly. I'd give this place a solid 4.5. there also was a firepit, it was just flipped over and behind some bushes in the back, so it could be easily missed. we didn't use it simply since the ticks were so bad out.

The grass was high and bushes could stand to be trimmed. There was no fire pit or hammock as shown in the pictures. The inside of the house was clean but full of spider webs and dusty. The house definitely needs some TLC. We were charged a $75 cleaning fee but yet part of our check out instructions were to carry out the trash and strip the bed of linens?!?! I probably would not stay here again.
