The house, grounds and the surrounding private beach and Moriah Cay National park make this a one of a kind destination. I have spent extensive time in the Bahamas and this is at the very top of the list. Rainer, the owner, as well as Shawn and D’Angelo, the caretakers, are very responsive. If you are semi-adventurous and enjoy the beauty offered by the Bahamas… you can’t beat it. Additionally - everything is provided for outdoor activities including paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel masks, pool toys, sonos and blue tooth speakers and the setting and kitchen provide for indoor entertainment. I immediately booked for the following year.

Rainer's beach house is incredible. The views and the beach are even prettier in person than what you see listed! We were there for a week and barely saw another person (only when we went for a long beach walk). It is a gorgeous private beach that is at least 500 yards long. Rainier has a local manager who was able to help us to arrange a taxi service from and back to the airport. She also helped us arrange for a chef who helped us with grocery shopping and prepared dinners for us. Our first day was calm, which allowed us to see the most fish and to swim around nearby rocks most easily. We also got to see a large stingray near the beach. Two of our party used one of the crystal kayaks at the property to paddle our to one of the small islands that was nearby where they could see some large iguanas! Rainer has equipped the house with ample supplies of bug repellant, which is a good idea to use every day in the Bahamas (especially on calm days). Overall, we were very happy!

I can’t say enough good things about Rainer’s house, Woodstar … first the location is stunning; by far the best secluded piece of land, situated on an impressive private beach; we didn’t see another soul our entire stay. Staying here felt like staying with a good friend; not a rental unit. Everything just an arms length away, every water toy, board game, even some cold beers waiting in the refrigerator. We travel nearly full time over these last few years, spending on average about 6 months a year in rental properties abroad and I must say… Rainer’s house, Woodstar is in that top 1/2% of homes we have visited around the globe. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of the dream with us… we’ll be back, you can count on it. If you have read this far … bottom line; Woodstar Beach House is perfect, from shingles to sand - you won’t be disappointed, just book it already. 😎😎🤓🤓

This was our first trip to the Bahamas so a little more information would have been helpful. The house itself is gorgeous, it is exactly like the photographs and was almost perfect for our needs. The house is a little isolated, there are not many restaurants, certainly none within walking distance (it sits at the end of a very rough sandy track). If you want to hire a chef to come cook at the house, book months in advance. The house manager (D'Angelo) pointed out that they had some bug spray but that we might want to purchase some more. We don't use chemicals on our skin so we had huge bug issues, so bad that we could not enjoy outside at night. There were 4 little rechargeable bug lanterns in the house that we tried to use, they did absolutely nothing. Had I known it was quite so bad I would have purchased incense and citronella. I wouldn't say the bug issue ruined our vacation, but it was disappointing to not enjoy being outside at night.

Your house is beautiful and you have thought of everything a guest could need. My only complaint was water pressure was awful. To wash dishes was next to impossible. In the main home the dishwasher near the oven leaks. It will ruin the floor. Pool was not clean. The house also has ants in the kitchen. All over counters and sink. On the other hand the bedding was delightful and we all slept well. i left a list for Shawn. We had a terrific time and loved the location and beauty of the area. If it were mine i would hate to rent it out.
