Tar Bay is a wonderful area in central Exuma that is known for it's long stretches of walkable beaches and bright blue hues from the shallow waters. Tar Bay is a beautiful and convenient place to be located due to it's proximity to both the Airport as well as Georgetown.
Getting around the island is relatively easy as there is only one major road/highway throughout the whole island. Approximately 90%+ of our guests rent cars and we would recommend this to fully explore all that Exuma has to offer. Being a long and narrow island, there are many hidden gems such as beaches, coves, and restaurants to explore as long the drive. If you are the types of travellers that intend on relaxing at the home in the sun, airport transfers or taxis to and from the airport would likely suffice.
