利伯蒂 (Liberty) · 岛屿 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Glamping on your own Private Island
This wooded two-acre private island has everything you need to discover the Maine outdoors. We offer a spacious tent complete with a queen bed, a kitchen equipped with everything needed to make delicious meals, docks to dip your toes into the water, adirondack chairs to tuck into your favorite book, and two fire pits to practice your s’more technique. And the beavers next door make for great neighbors. *You will need to provide your own boat* The island is located on 335-acre Stevens Pond at the headwaters of the St George River. The island is accessible via the public boat launch located on Route 173 in Liberty, Maine. You will be responsible for providing your own boat, it is about a 20 minute canoe or kayak paddle or a short motorboat ride, keep in mind there is a horsepower limit of 10hp on the pond. The island itself is two acres and heavily wooded with massive pine trees and smaller shrubs along the shoreline. There are three tents on the island; the first is a spacious sleeping tent with a queen bed, side tables, a small seating area, and some games and activities. Our second tent holds the kitchen with a gravity fed sink, counter, two burner propane stove, and kitchen wares. There is also a large dining table out front for you to enjoy meals under the stars. We provide 10 gallons of fresh water for drinking and cooking. The third tent is a privacy tent that holds the toilet, we use a groover bucket with compostable bags for waste. There is also an outdoor, gravity fed shower to rinse off. There are two fire pits, a grill for cooking, multiple seating areas to relax in, hammock, and a dock for easy access to the island or dipping your toes in the water on a warm day. Guests have access to the entire two acre island. The pond is also your front yard, so feel free to explore in your boat. There are plenty of little coves, inlets, and corners of the pond to check out. Quigg Island Preserve is also located on the pond, which hosts a few miles of trails and boasts spectacular views of the pond. Just like the island, it is only accessible by boat. What do you need to bring? - Boat to access the island - Clothing for all types of weather - Food - Additional water for longer visits
At risk of this place getting booked up for next season and many years to come—if you are looking for an exceptional camping (glamping!) experience in Maine, look no further. The island is absolutely stunning, incredibly peaceful, super private, and totally tranquil. It’s entirely shaded so it’s comfortable during the day, with the sunny deck available if you’d prefer to sunbathe and take a dip in the water. The tents are secure, clean, and well appointed with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The location is accessible and if you don’t mind paddling out and back to replenished provisions it’s suitable for a longer stay. The amenities for the cost is stellar, the privacy and location are unrivaled. The sleeping tent was so cozy I almost wish it had rained! Looking forward to returning again and again. Thank you Nick, for sharing this exceptionally precious island with guests!!
The place was exactly as described. Awesome authentic getaway! Nick provided everything you needed so you could just show up and be all set. Even the little things he didn’t forget like hand sanitizer and bug spray!
We had a great time on this peaceful island! It was great to experience camping without needing to bring all the equipment. Nick has everything you need, just bring food! It was exactly 20 minutes to kayak to the island. My dog had a blast!
This is the ultimate peaceful island experience. Nick met us at the boat launch and guided us to the island where he showed us around. He pointed out a neighboring island preserve and recommended visiting it which we did the next day and really enjoyed. The kitchen and bedroom tent are equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay, as is the bathroom tent ;) Nick has gone above and beyond in creating wonderful spaces around the small island to relax and enjoy the views. We spent our nights at the fire pit by the dock but enjoyed the larger fire pit up top on our last morning. Can’t wait to stay here again next year! Thank you Nick!
Nick’s island is a gem! I don’t camp often, but I would return to this location again and again. The lake surrounding the island is gorgeous, and the water looks like glass. The extra amenities on the island give it a glamping feel. It was exciting to bring my dog, and not worry about her running into other campers. My favorite part was waking up to the sounds of nature. Give this spot a chance, you won’t regret it.
