圣约翰(St. John's) · 整套民居 · 6室6床2.0卫 · 可住11人 · A Century of Character in the Heart of Downtown
Steeped in history and overflowing with character, this modern and charming two-thirds Georgian home is nestled in one of the best locations in downtown St. John’s. Built in 1893, it boasts over 3,000 sq ft over 3 stories that overlook the iconic jellybean row houses and the harbour. With 6 spacious bedrooms on the upper floors, it comfortably accommodates large groups and families. Explore the vibrancy of Bannerman Park at your doorstep while the entirety of downtown is just a stroll away. As you step through the front door, you'll be greeted with a fusion of century old charm and modern comforts. While original flooring covers the second and third floor, you'll find intricate crown moldings and carved wooden staircases throughout. The main floor is an open concept living area with a spacious kitchen. The living room is perfect for watching your favourite show on our smart TV or you can unplug and take advantage of the chest full of boardgames and books to unwind and relax. The kitchen features a large fridge, mini fridge, gas range stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, air fryer and toaster. You should have everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on each floor and you climb the staircases. The bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and lockable. There are extra pillows and blankets throughout the home. The landing on the third floor is covered with books to explore. Other items to note are air conditioning and parking. There's an air conditioning unit located on the third floor and there's permit parking available for one vehicle in the parking lot just across the street.
Jayn’s place was large enough for our family of 10 to stay. It’s also in close proximity to downtown and Bannerman Park, which is lovely green space. The kitchen and bathrooms had been renovated in the recent past. The house has a lot of character and charm. Jayn kindly left some toys and books for our toddlers as well as a few treats! Although there was enough room for our family to sleep, there wasn’t necessarily enough seating in the living room and it was quite uncomfortable to sit on. The walls are also shared with other units, so you need to be cautious of noise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
Great place to stay! Jayn was so friendly, very clean beautiful house, highly recommend!!
We loved getting to stay at this AirBnB for our stay! Such a great location and beautiful space, we felt very lucky to have this space for our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay with a big group in St John's!
The location is extremely convenient for driving or walking. Close enough to downtown to call it exercise, but not so far as to be real exercise…especially after a night down on George St! Very roomy, comfortable beds and Jayn was on top of everything. p.s. if you’re so lucky to have a sunny morning and up with the sun, you can catch a beautiful view of the sunrise over the harbour from the front windows!
This beautiful heritage home was spacious, very clean and offered all the amenities necessary to make our stay an enjoyable and relaxing one. The lovely updated kitchen was very spacious and functional, making it a great space for our group of six ladies to gather, socialized and prepare meals when necessary. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated and offered a very cozy environment and comfy beds to relax in after a long day of sightseeing and exploring surronding areas. The host was very personable, friendly and responsive when answering any questions we had. Instructions were clearly provided throughout the house with tips on where to locate items and operate appliances. A clearly laid out guest book was also provided with many wonderful recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and other things to do in St. John's . We would highly recommend this home as a wonderful establishment to stay in while visiting St. John's Newfoundland.
With the entrance to the beautiful 19th century greenspace around the corner, this location is truly in the heart of downtown St. John's. Within the immediate vicinity, you have the Hungry Heart Cafe, The Parlour (a local favourite for ice cream), The Newfoundland Tea Co. Shop and many more unique and local businesses. Spend the day exploring the waterfront, find your new favourite restaurant or hike up Signal Hill. It's all within a 15 minute walk!
One parking permit is available in Zone 1. The closest option is a parking lot right across the street by Moo Moos Ice Cream Store. This parking lot is half permit and half free parking. You're more than welcome to have a second vehicle in the free parking spacing but keep in mind that they're not always available on busy days.
