The size of Julie's condo is small, in a bldg that could use some TLC, and in a rougher area of Myrtle. The bldg condition was a surprise but size and location were not. We figured we could deal with it for the one night we were staying. But, due to some non-trivial cleanliness and maintenance issues, we checked out 1 hour after checking in. Maybe the cleaner was rushed due to our early check in...there were blood-stained, sandy bed sheets and quilt, a fitted sheet left on the pull out with dirt and sand all over it, a sandy floor and chairs, and a dirty (rust? blood streaks?) tub floor. Julie did send a cleaner over to (re)clean, but we were too creeped to stay. Additionally, the AC was set to 68 but the temp was 79 in the condo, and warm air was blowing from the vents. It was SO HOT. Other recent reviews note the AC issue, and it clearly hasn't been fixed. And, the bathroom sink hot water did not work--no water came out when the hot tap was turned on. Julie issued a full refund.

The condo was very clean upon arrival. The oceanfront view is beautiful as well. Our vacation was perfect!

The location of the area was pretty good, and the resort itself was nice in the sense that the pools were well-kept and there were lots of options. Plus, beach access is right there. However, upon check-in, the unit was very hot even though the AC was on. We immediately informed the host, and she said she’d send someone. The person came later that night, said he couldn’t do anything, and they’d send an HVAC person the next day. The man came at almost 4p the next day, said the AC was completely broken and needed to be replaced. Told the host, no response, had to ASK for some fans. The whole week was spent in an 80 degree unit. Plus, there’s no dressers or any place to put clothes. There’s a closet, but it’s filled with paint and dusty supplies used for the unit so it’s unusable. The view in the room was beautiful, and we loved being able to relax in the many pools and hot tubs, but it really stinks we couldn’t even sleep comfortably and spent most time out of the unit.
