We enjoyed this house for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday, staying near our family in Lyme. This house sits right on the community pond with views of the water from lots of large windows across the entire first floor. The house is expansive and plenty of room for a large family, with comfy bedding and an awesome soaking tub (again, looking right out at the water). Many extra rooms for spacing out like a game room and TV room/office. There is a general store very close for those things you forgot or to get great local meat, etc. and awesome local beer selection just across the river. You cannot go wrong – we loved entertaining our family in the large cook’s kitchen and staring out at the ice and fog. Just beautiful and very clean!

Beautiful house, property, location. We made a great family vacation out of it. More than enough space for everyone, awesome kitchen, a nice grill, boats, everything you could want for a lakeside vacation. The sounds of the loons and bullfrogs at night was something I’ll never forget. I miss it already! All communication with Daphne was quick, clear, and pleasant.

This is a beautiful space! We loved lounging in the living area and soaking in the sun from the wall of windows overlooking Post Pond. There was more than enough space for 4 people, and the kitchen had everything we needed, and then some. Daphne was also incredibly responsive to all messages and questions, which was very much appreciated. The only potential downside to note is that the location has little to no cell service and WiFi in the house was unable to support more than 1 device at a time (and even that 1 device had spotty access and was often unable to download certain content).

Daphne’s house and the pond are a tremendous property to relax and enjoy nature. There are many diverse opportunities in the area to enjoy. I highly recommend Daphne’s place
