The host double-booked the house during the most in-demand event in the area for years (the total eclipse). We only found out when we drove up to the house to find another family at the house. The host did get back to us quickly to let us know that they "just realized the dates were booked already" and indicated there was an error in their system , but also indicated this to be an issue with AirBnB. While they promised we would receive a refund, such was not issued until I reached out to AirBnB myself.

The House hotels was a very nice place to stay, you were almost less than 10 minutes away from most things. The amenities were very nice, and the dishwasher, washer and dryer added to the convenience of keeping the place clean, and being able to pack lightly and just wash your clothes. The location, despite next to a restaurant, was still quiet and private. Only a few small things missing, but definitely would stay again.
