We recently stayed at this charming cottage, and it exceeded all our expectations. The cottage is incredibly cosy with a pretty garden that adds to the overall charm. It is conveniently located close to local amenities, making it easy to explore the area. The cleanliness and tidiness of the cottage were impeccable, and the comfort level was top-notch. The lovely log burner was a highlight, providing a wonderful and homely feeling after a long day of walking in the dales. The attention to detail in the decoration was impressive, making the cottage feel warm and inviting. Additionally, the cottage was well-equipped throughout, making it a hassle-free stay. Rose, the host, was very nice and highly proactive. The Bollywood Cottage restaurant's food is probably the best Indian we've had, and it's also the only restaurant open until late; most pubs won't serve food beyond 6:30 pm. We would definitely return to this cottage in the future. Highly recommended!

The cottage itself and the location was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for a quiet few nights away, with easy access to local larger towns. The host was extremely helpful and communication was great. Will be back again.

This is a lovely cottage with a great garden. It was really clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and it was really nice having the woodburner too. We appreciated the wine and provisions left for us with a friendly note and the ideas of things to do were really helpful. It all felt very friendly and welcoming. The one issue, which we had not really been prepared for was the noise of the road right outside the door. Although it dies down in the night, it is constant in the day and early evening and some big lorries drive along there. Some people wont mind this at all, but others will be really bothered by it, so important for people to know what to expect. Apart from this one thing though, it really is a great place. It's a lot of fun to cross the river on the stepping stones and walk round the village. Fish and Chips in the village is great! Angel at Hetton highly recommended!
