Our locality is rish in amenities. Crossmichael village is three miles away and equipped with an, excellent village shop and passionately run pub. Our closest town is Castle Douglas, a professed food town, with a high school and a high street lined with plentiful quality, local businesses. We understand that our region isn’t a recognised Blue Zone area, but we feel our small corner of Scotland meets some of the criteria that supports the belief that people live longer, better lives by improving their environment.

The house is 1 mile up a farm track - it's bumpy but characterful. If one of your party is bringing a low slung super car please let us know and we could potential park it elsehwere on the Estate. A standard car will however easily get down the track provide you take it slow. There local bus does stop at the bottom of the public road that connects to the A713. There is also an old walking / cycle right of way to Crossmichael from the property that cuts out most of the A713.
