We could not have been happier with our stay at this camp with a stunning view over the water to Katadhin. It is a bit out of the way on unpaved roads and you do need to bring your own drinking water but the serenity, the direct access to the water, the comfortable indoor spaces, and, again, the view, made it very much worth any extra effort. Talia was terrific in communicating with both prior and during our stay and addressed our one concern very quickly and helpfully. We were happy to discover River's Edge restaurant and Knife's Edge Brewing close by (both part of the North East Outdoor Center but separate locations). The camp is located close enough to Baxter that we were able to enjoy a day's hiking there on both days. The heating worked well and the flannel sheets were much appreciated. All in all, a great place to stay. Thank you, Talia and Anand!

We always love visiting this general area. Usually we stay around South Twin Lake so this was a new place for us. While the location is beautiful, we are elderly and the access to the water was trickier than anticipated as was the size of the shower stall. The home itself was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Far exceeds expectations! The cabin was more spacious and comfortable than the photos had us expecting. Very comfortable place with a heat pump to keep warm as well as many heaters available. The views are second to none at this spot, with views towards sunrise and sunset as well as captivating views of Katahdin. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was well prepared with a lot of the odds and ends that one often forgets to pack; like coffee filters and basic ingredients. Very clean place all around. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay and being available to assist with any of our needs.

We had a great stay here. The view is spectacular and sitting on the lovely front porch, or on the well-maintained dock, and taking it in was a highlight of our stay. As was getting out on the water. (And into it: it was, surprisingly, warm enough to swim in, even in early September). There were multiple boats (and kinds of boats) we could use, with life preservers, which was a major bonus. The house itself is bordered by neighbors (its not totally isolated feeling: you do hear noise from them occasionally) but it still felt quite peaceful. Inside, it's cozy (the master bedroom is particularly nice) and well-appointed with kitchen supplies and equipment, the beds were comfortable, and it was clean and in good shape with good window light. The house itself isn't exceptional, but the location makes it special. And the hosts were great--super attentive and responsive. Overall, a wonderful place.

What's not to love? Canoeing on the lake at sunset, yoga on the dock at dawn, tranquil hours on the deck listening to the loons and watching the light change on Mt. Katahdin. This Camp was perfect for just the two of us; we had more family two camps down and we gathered and ate at the outside seating area. This Camp is perfect for one couple. Our second time there. Comfy beds, clean linens, ample towels. Well-stocked kitchen. Flashlights and binocs provided (we brought our own). Guidebooks and maps also. 30 minutes to the Togue Gate, Abol Bridge or Millinocket. Plan accordingly. Fire Road 16 is well-maintained, but it's a constant battle to keep the potholes filled. We recommend a high-clearance vehicle. It is a delightful place, magical really.
