Wonderful time at Mark’s place. It felt like home, was there to visit family and it was close to town, but not too close so it was very peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a great stay at Mark's place. It's in a perfect location, close to the mountain, on the lake, and right off the MTB trails. It's clean and comfortable and Mark is a very responsive and accommodating host. We can't wait to come back here and bring friends and family with us!

For being so far out the options for things to do were great. There’s even a brewery you can walk to. The view was gorgeous, the night sky was breathtaking and the lakefront location was top notch. So many kayaks and conoes - you could bring a dozen people out at once. The neighbor and caretaker Gene was always on top of things. We were there for the hurricane and Gene kept an eye on us throughout. Lost power but only for a few hours, and tress that came down in the road were cleared within an hour or two. Obviously there is a strong community and network of caretakers here. We may just come back again next summer - sans hurricane, I hope! Since we had a rainy day we ended up in town for a bit (we probably would have done more hiking otherwise) and I’m glad we did. There is a wonderful spot called Moose Tracks Gallery we spent some time in and a few other fun shops nearby, as well as the Blue Ox Saloon where we enjoyed a pint and conversations with locals. Highly recommend this AirBnB.

The Bear's Den lake House was the perfect place to stay for relatively close access to Baxter State Park and a few local establishments. The caretakers are wonderful, friendly people, and the lake setting with fire pit and kayaks was lovely and peaceful. The house itself is also gorgeous. I would absolutely stay here again!
