Great cabin experience! The cabin was clean, check-in was easy, and communication was great. I would definitely recommend staying at these campgrounds to anyone who's in the area.

**Safety Concerns** The cabin’s interior is as pictured, multiple bunk beds and a loft with several more beds. It is located within 15 minutes of the entrance to Baxter State Park. However, the exterior location is not as pictured. Our cabin did not have lake views nor was it located right next to a lake, as indicated in the photo. There was a lake a short walk away. This was disappointing for our family. We assumed for the price we were charged that we were getting the cabin pictured with the same amenities. The cabin comes with minimal amenities. No bath towels are provided. I was told I could “rent a towel” for $1.00 each because “we are going green”. When I spoke with the owner, she got me the towels I needed and waived her normal rental fee. I also had to ask for a baking sheet as none was provided. There were, however, many forks and spoons. Finally, I think it’s fairly common that young children pick the top bunk. My 11-year old niece did and we failed to notice a bare halogen light bulb with no cover installed right above her head. She popped her head up while in bed, right into the bulb, smashed the bulb with her head, leaving her with 2 notable and bleeding cuts on her head with glass fragments embedded in the cuts. The glass from the bulb sprayed the top and bottom bunk, as well as surrounding areas. After some painful glass removal from her head, I shared the photos of my niece’s bleeding injuries and my concerns over building code and safety requirements with the owner. She supplied me with a packet of antibacterial ointment and a cookie sheet. She offered her apologies and said this had never happened in 20+ years. She did not attempt to offer any other solutions or remediation.

Best place to be in Maine. out in the woods and middle of nowhere. A serene getaway. saw countless stars and few shooting stars too by the lake!!!. nature lovers would hit the G here.
