The house was amazing very private and peaceful. The ladies were very responsive and respectful we had everything we needed! Will come back
Our host, Illtyd, was amazing. She met with us, gave recommendations, was very responsive and respectful. Our housekeeper, Chantal, was equally amazing, very pleasant, friendly, and kept our villa spotless! She even welcomed us with her homemade Rum punch upon arrival, nice touch. We utilized their recommended chef, Eike Lauff, and his assistant for a special celebratory dinner at the house, outstanding and highly recommended. The host also has a trusted driver, Victor, for daily taxiing and airport shuttle. He too was always responsive and was available every time we needed him. This property is walking distance to a very beautiful and boutique resort, Calabash Cove, where you can use the beach, buy drinks and dine anytime. There is also a grocery store, Glace, on the main road just outside the community it is situated in. One concern, if you are not fit or have trouble with exercise, walking in these locations could be difficult as the terrain is very rough, and elevated.
We loved the housekeeper Shantel. The house was beautiful but needed maintenance. The air-conditioned rooms were much appreciated, but the main living areas did not have air-conditioning at was stifling most of the time. This includes the kitchen and dining area. One frustrating event was waiting for the property manager to show up slowing to only sell us on purchasing a tour packages. We were not expecting a sales pitch to be a part of our day. We did secure a package, which we planned to do anyway. The property manager specifically said and confirmed on our receipt that a tour van would arrive at 8:40 am so we are standing in the heat waiting. We we finally got through to her, she denied giving us the wrong time, even though it was in writing. Overall, the place was beautiful and the housekeeper Shantel was more than accommodating. With additional air-conditioned ans some minor maintenance, we would return.
